Mr. Ivaylo Dermendjiev took part in the International Competition in International Commercial Arbitration at the BCCI.
In the period 10 - 12 March 2017 in the building of BCCI was held the traditional edition of Sofia VIS Pre-Moot 2017 - international competition in international trade arbitration. The organizer of the event is the Association for International Law Competitions with the support of the Court of Arbitration at BCCI. Participants in the event were mainly lawyers, arbitrators, lawyers, representatives of chambers of commerce and the academic community, students, young specialists from Bulgaria and other European Union and Balkan countries.
As part of this completion, the first ever Sofia Arbitration Day was organized - part of the initiatives dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the arbitration activities in Bulgaria. The speeches were given by the Honorary Chairman of the Arbitration Court at the BCCI - Prof. Dr. Silvy Chernev and Dr. Ivaylo Dermendjiev - lawyer, doctor of private international law, member of the Presidium of the BCCI. In particular, Mr. Ivaylo Dermendjiev analyzed the latest amendments to the law on arbitration in Bulgaria, in force since January 2017.
